I am Ian Lewis Gichero, a dedicated and result-oriented Civil/Structural Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. With over 5 years of hands-on experience in the design and construction of various infrastructure projects, I have developed a strong expertise in structural analysis, geometric design, and pavement design. My work has included significant contributions to highway projects, building constructions, and traffic impact assessments, showcasing my ability to manage complex engineering tasks effectively.

Currently, I serve as a Civil/Structural Engineer with the Nairobi City County Government, where I supervise road construction projects and assess structural drawings for building approvals. My role involves preparing designs, cost estimates, and ensuring quality assurance during construction. I have also worked on the Mau Mau Roads Project, where I gained valuable experience in highway engineering, materials design, and hydrological analysis. My self-taught programming skills in Python further enhance my ability to analyze data and improve project outcomes.
