I’m a Full Professor at ITESO focused on socio-environmental regeneration through intelligent spatial analysis, territorial planning, and evidence-driven environmental decision-making. I bring systemic thinking and hands-on project experience to work that must hold up in the real world—especially where communities, ecosystems, and institutions intersect.

My core work combines advanced spatial tools and environmental planning: QGIS-based intelligent cartography, land-use characterization, and topographic/spatial analysis that supports rigorous studies. I also lead Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (MIA) and feasibility work, including comprehensive diagnosis near Ramsar sites and evaluation/contrast analysis for protected areas’ management programs.

I strengthen nature-based solutions through both design and valuation. From economic valuation of ecosystem services using i-Tree® to designing and evaluating constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment, reforestation coordination, and urban reforestation evaluation instruments, I aim to make interventions measurable, fundable, and accountable.

Teaching and training are central to my professional ethos. Since 2009, I’ve led and strengthened change-agent training through more than 15 real intervention projects with students in complex socio-environmental settings, using logical frameworks, Theory of Change, and intercultural participatory approaches—backed by technical-legal analysis in environmental law, agrarian issues, and community governance.
