Georginah Gaoorwe

I’m a results oriented and performance driven Health Education Technician, focused on providing analytical keys to management while delivering health education initiatives to clients and colleagues. I enjoy challenging briefs and work an excellent standard under considerable pressure, maintaining a positive image throughout.

Since 2018 with the District Health Management Team (DHMT), I conduct assessments and surveys to determine health education needs, collaborating with health specialists and stakeholders to set goals and achieve sustainable results. I develop plans and policies, design and distribute health education materials and aids (including pamphlets, notices, and video/audio clips), and facilitate health education initiatives via press releases, media campaigns, social media platforms and websites.

I also coordinate grant applications to obtain funding for health education programs, provide staff and community agencies with access to health resources, and maintain documentation by recording information and overseeing health education program staff and volunteers. My background in Public Health, Health Education, and higher education training—supported by experience with DHMT attachments and peer-orientation work such as measles campaign activities—keeps me grounded in evidence based public health practices.
