I'm a Full-Stack and DevOps engineer with 6+ years of experience across UK government platforms and SME operational systems. I specialise in turning fragmented, spreadsheet-based data environments into structured systems that help teams make better decisions.

Most recently I worked as sole engineer on a contract engagement for a UK transport company, fully remote, delivering a production data and reporting platform, end-to-end. That meant designing and building a multi-stage ETL pipeline, making all architectural decisions independently, deploying the full cloud infrastructure, and delivering a React frontend surfacing over 100 operational metrics for a leadership team. The work replaced several hours of manual KPI calculation per week and surfaced data that previously wasn't visible to leadership at all.

Before that I spent 5 years at CGI UK supporting national criminal justice projects, most recently a Government production platform serving 30,000+ daily users, focused on production reliability, DevOps, deployment management, and incident resolution in a regulated environment.

I also run GBM Group, a small consultancy helping ops-heavy SMEs in transport, facilities, and contractor businesses replace messy spreadsheet environments with structured operational data systems.

Currently I'm building ComplianceQA, an agentic RAG system with a self-correcting retrieval loop over UK food safety law, using LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Claude. It's my primary AI portfolio project and how I'm developing depth in agentic AI engineering beyond my production full-stack work.

My core stack is Python, FastAPI, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Docker, with growing experience in LangGraph, LlamaIndex, BigQuery, and Auth0.

I'm looking for fully remote roles, contract or permanent, where I can own meaningful problems end-to-end. I thrive in async-first environments where my strong communication skills become imperative. I don't need to be managed, and I'm most motivated when the work has real-world impact. I'm particularly drawn to climate tech, sustainability, data platforms, and AI-native product companies.

Outside of engineering I play chess (a lot), make and DJ soulful Drum and Bass as Baxtr, and spend time thinking about philosophy of mind, technology ethics, and what it means to build things that serve people rather than the other way around.

I'm currently based in the UK and planning to travel extensively from early 2027, which is part of why genuine location independence matters to me.
