I’m a highly skilled K9 Handler with direct experience in explosives and narcotics detection within high-traffic transportation hubs. I conduct threat assessment and mitigation activities to keep the traveling public safe, especially in airport and maritime environments.

In my Explosives Detection Canine Handler role at Constellis (Miami International Airport / Port Everglades), I lead explosives detection and search operations for buildings, vehicles, packages, and luggage. I also support passenger screening by using canines in screening queues as a visible deterrent to criminal activity.

I’m expert in canine behavior evaluation and health maintenance, with daily training sessions focused on scent detection, obedience, and agility to meet annual certification standards. I apply advanced knowledge to evaluate, reward, and guide canines during high-pressure threat mitigation activities.

Beyond field operations, I coordinate with law enforcement and EDC program members to respond to bomb threats and suspicious items. I also handle administrative documentation using iPhone/iPad/laptops to maintain records of canine health, training, utilization, and deployment results, while applying risk-based security techniques and intelligence-driven random sweeps.
