I want to build and harden secure custody/trading platforms—automating hedging, balances, and transaction flows in a security-minded engineering culture, using C++/Python and cloud systems to drive reliability at scale.

I’m a software engineer with over 25 years of experience, specializing in C++ and Python, with a strong track record in fintech and computer security. I focus on building secure, automated systems that stay reliable under high-throughput transaction and trading demands.

At Lirium AG, I work as a Senior Software Engineer, Custody and Trading, delivering automation that hedges across multiple exchanges as customers buy and sell different cryptocurrencies. I’ve built systems for a hot pool integration with BitGo (sending, receiving, and storing Bitcoin, Ethereum, and tokens) and for core account balances and transactions, using Python (Flask, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, Numpy), MySQL, Docker, and AWS.

Previously at XAPO, I led custody and trading engineering from 2014 to 2020, including vault/cold storage using multi-signature with signers around the globe. I also delivered hot-pool capabilities for BTC—payments batching, SegWit, and automated dust management—alongside account balances and transactions. My work there spans Python (Flask, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, Numpy), MySQL, Cassandra, Docker, Grafana, and AWS.

Earlier in my career, I advanced in computer security at Core Security: I served as Director of Exploit Development and Research and also as Senior Software Engineer / Manager. I helped create CORE Impact (Win32 desktop) and related products (including automated penetration testing and a Linux-based network appliance), leveraging C++ (Win32 and Linux), GDB, Boost, Python (including embedded), MySQL/MSSQL, and MFC—work that shaped how I think about robust tooling, repeatability, and security-by-design.
