Funmilola Akinbo

I'm completing a Building Technology degree at Covenant University while building practical experience in structural and site engineering. My academic work covers steel and timber design, highway engineering, advanced construction technology, specification writing, and operations research.

During my internship with Pentagon Engineering Consultant, I supervised ongoing structural works, checked execution against structural drawings, and assessed completed works for quality and compliance. I also worked with the structural engineering team to identify discrepancies between site conditions and design documentation.

My final-year dissertation investigates the tensile strength properties of Bambusa vulgaris as an alternative construction material in Nigeria. I tested samples under ISO 22157:2019 protocols and used ANOVA and Tukey HSD statistical analysis to benchmark results against engineering standards.

I'm HSE- and CAPM-certified, and I bring event logistics, team coordination, analytical reporting, and stakeholder communication experience from university leadership. I'm seeking to grow my career in structural and civil engineering within Nigeria's construction industry.
