Freya Aidoo
@freyaaidoo
I build biomedical research and imaging solutions that improve patient screening and drug discovery.
What I'm looking for
I'm contributing to myeloid disease drug discovery at Incyte Corporation, conducting cell-based assays and dose-response studies to evaluate therapeutic compounds for myeloid malignancies.
At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, I analyzed patient records to develop computable phenotypes for congenital adrenal hyperplasia and used REDCap to curate clinical research datasets. I also performed pediatric retinal scans and helped expand retinal screening access, increasing patient volume by over 230%.
I'm pursuing a Biomedical Engineering degree at Drexel University with a concentration in Biomedical Imaging and an AJ Drexel Scholarship.
Through an opioid overdose detection device project, I'm designing a wearable wrist sensor and developing formal verification protocols to validate its functional and performance requirements. I'm also an EMT and support student organizations through chapter administration, membership engagement, and founding-member leadership.
