Frances Haynes
@franceshaynes
Corporate counsel experienced in contracts, compliance, and litigation.
What I'm looking for
I am a detail-oriented corporate counsel with extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial agreements while ensuring regulatory compliance. I thrive in fast-paced environments and work collaboratively across teams to advance organizational goals.
In my current role as Group Corporate Counsel at a major conglomerate, I led Contract Lifecycle Management software implementation, authored the user manual, and streamlined contract processes to improve operational efficiency and adoption. I also advised on strategic debt collection, negotiated favourable settlements, and pursued claims that bolstered the organisation's debt portfolio.
I have managed litigation portfolios and overseen external counsel to resolve disputes, minimize legal exposure, and optimize outcomes. I played a central role in developing a Risk and Compliance Program through gap analyses and targeted remediation, strengthening governance and reducing legal and operational risk.
My broader practice experience includes industrial relations, conveyancing, probate, family law, and general civil matters. I bring strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a client-focused approach to drive practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives.
