I’m a Principal Software Engineer who led architecture and development of Plotly Cloud, an app hosting platform central to growth, designing core Go-based platform components like the deployment system and Kubernetes controllers. I shape technical direction across infrastructure, observability, and backend services, with measurable business impact.
I’ve delivered AI-accelerated product capabilities like “Chart from Screenshot,” and I established AI-assisted infrastructure-as-code practices using Claude Code and Pulumi that two teams adopted for an estimated 3x efficiency gain. I also designed and scaled Dash Enterprise from a solo effort to 8 developers, transforming it into a multi-tenant system with custom Kubernetes controllers, unlocking new markets and decreasing churn by 35%.
Most recently, at Hopper, I built Continuous Delivery for 400+ engineers in Scala—improving deployment frequency up to 10x with reduced downtime risk—while redesigning pipelines using Bazel and Helm. I’ve also built distributed systems using Spanner (replacing ZooKeeper), exposed metrics via an OpenCensus-to-OpenTelemetry adapter, and earlier contributed to distributed storage (Lustre) and Linux kernel subsystems.
