Fidencio Barasa

As an aspiring financial analyst with a strong foundation in finance and data analysis, I bring one year of practical experience in preparing and interpreting financial statements, conducting equity research, and developing valuation models. My work has involved creating and analyzing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to support strategic financial decisions.

I have conducted thorough equity research, including analyzing 10-K filings, market positioning, and macroeconomic factors, culminating in the development of valuation models and investment memos. My analytical abilities are complemented by a certification in Entrepreneurship from Brigham Young University–Idaho, which has strengthened my skills in spreadsheet modeling, small business accounting, sales strategy, and business proposal development.

Beyond my finance experience, I have contributed to AI model development through dataset curation, annotation, and evaluation—improving my capability to work with complex data and apply financial reasoning in innovative contexts. My professional communication skills, fluency in English and Swahili, and experience in remote collaboration have enabled me to succeed in diverse team environments.

I have also taken part in recruitment activities, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, and conducting interviews, as well as promoting bank products and facilitating financing transactions.
