Fernando Acauan
@fernandoacauan
Computer Engineering student and freelance software developer specializing in C++ low-level, real-time systems, and clean integrations.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Computer Engineering student who specializes in low-level programming, real-time systems, and building bleeding-edge technology with a strong focus on clean, well-structured C++ code. I’m equally motivated to pioneer intuitive user interfaces, balancing performance with usability.
In freelance work at DNI Tecnologia, I designed and developed a real-time facial recognition system for biometric identification using C# and OpenCV. I integrated it with a SQL Server database for user registration and authentication, then built image capture and processing software with Windows Forms tied to physical scanner devices.
My personal projects reflect my ability to solve complex problems and think like a systems engineer. I built the Arena Allocator (C++) to eliminate heap fragmentation and reduce allocation overhead with O(1) behavior, and I created a Chip-8 interpreter from scratch with a precise 4KB memory model, opcode set, and timers.
On the application side, I developed BookAPI, a REST web API in .NET 8 using Clean Architecture across Domain, Application, Infrastructure, and Presentation layers. I implement CI/CD workflows, Docker containerization, structured logging with Serilog, and relational data mapping with Entity Framework Core, and I enjoy working in Agile (Scrum) environments with autonomous learning.
