In my recent role as a Medical Billing Specialist at Surge RCM, I handled full-cycle surgical billing workflows, reviewed operative reports for correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding (including modifier usage), and prepared clean claims for commercial insurances, Medicare, and Medicaid. I also managed denial workflows by researching rejected claims, drafting appeals, correcting coding errors, and resubmitting to maximize reimbursement. Currently, as a Virtual Medical Scribe & Clinical Auditor (Remote) with Healthcare Documentation Services via Upwork, I deliver real-time and asynchronous scribing for mental health providers, support EHR management, and audit clinical documentation for completeness, consistency, and compliance before provider sign-off.
