I am a Backend Engineer with a strong interest in building reliable APIs, scalable backend systems, and data-driven applications. My primary programming language is Python, and I have experience working with technologies including Django, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka, Docker, and cloud deployment platforms.

I enjoy working on problems that require more than simply writing code. I am particularly interested in backend architecture, distributed systems, real-time data processing, machine learning systems, and building applications that solve real-world problems.

One of my most significant projects is a real-time fraud detection system designed to simulate the transaction environment of Nigerian banking systems. I built an event-driven pipeline using Kafka for streaming transactions, Redis for real-time feature storage, FastAPI for model serving, PostgreSQL for monitoring key performance metrics, and a machine learning model for fraud prediction. This project helped me develop a deeper understanding of how machine learning models are integrated into real-world backend systems and how systems need to be designed for reliability, speed, and continuous data flow.

I have also built a loan default prediction system, a customer churn prediction API, payment APIs, and other backend applications. Through these projects, I have gained practical experience with API design, database management, asynchronous processing, caching, data pipelines, machine learning integration, and containerized development.

Beyond technology, I am interested in using technology to create meaningful opportunities for young people. I am also the founder of Herixa, a youth-focused initiative that helps girls gain exposure to technology, develop practical skills, and connect with women who can guide and inspire them.

I am currently looking for opportunities where I can contribute as a Backend Engineer, continue growing as a software engineer, and work with teams building meaningful and technically challenging products. I am especially interested in roles involving backend engineering, distributed systems, data infrastructure, machine learning systems, and fintech.
