Fatima Mazhar

I’m an LLB graduate specialising in international arbitration, mediation, and public international law, with a strong commitment to careful research and clear legal writing. I was selected by ICRC Pakistan as a fully funded participant for the 50th Jean Pictet Competition, where I worked through IHL-based arguments in complex multi-party simulated scenarios across Indonesia and Singapore.

In my experience at Pakistan’s Ministry of Law and Justice, I’ve supported institutional dispute resolution through legal research and court-linked mediation work, including collecting and analysing data for entertainment mediation cases at the Court-Annexed Mediation Centre and contributing to reports for the Islamabad High Court. As a Research Intern at ISSRA’s Centre of Excellence for International Law (NDU), I focus on public international law research and writing policy insights published by the state think tank for stakeholders, including newspapers and, in some cases, the Prime Minister’s Office. I also lead at the Law Students’ Council of Pakistan—progressing through four consecutive elected roles over three years and currently serving as Chairperson.

I bring this same precision to publication-focused work, producing analytical articles through “Paradigm Shift” on international law and foreign policy, alongside legal R&D research outputs for a monthly magazine. I’ve also supported content development as a Content Executive (remote) by researching markets and regulatory/business practices, and I’ve contributed to an international training manual aimed at building a bilateral legal bridge between the Law Ministries of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
