Ester Ferguson
@esterferguson
Architectural geospatial analyst blending CAD and GIS for sustainable development.
What I'm looking for
I’m an architectural geospatial analyst focused on turning spatial data and design thinking into practical, sustainable decisions. I’m completing a Master’s in Construction at the instituto tecnológico de chetumal and previously earned a Bachelor’s in Architecture with specialties in Urban Design and Sustainable Architecture.
My research and academic work includes an architectural proposal for an international tourist resort hotel designed with eco-bags as base material. I also build evidence-based studies—examining the study, planning, and cost implications of design and implementation, and conducting comparative analysis of tiles made from recyclable HDPE plastic waste.
In my geospatial work with FONATUR (Mayan Train), I developed a methodology for geospatial analysis of ejidal lands to support the Release of the Right of Way. I applied geospatial analysis techniques to identify and evaluate potential impacts on properties, and contributed to defining impact polygons and calculating affected surfaces, while preparing, reviewing, and validating cartographic data.
I pair strong GIS and CAD proficiency with teamwork and careful validation. Through roles like Montpelier Designer and my continued learning mindset, I’m committed to clear communication, precise documentation, and collaborative problem-solving—so projects move forward with reliable spatial foundations.
