At Universidad del Valle, I taught Social Sciences II on how History and Geography contribute to the development of the social sciences. My work also includes teaching Geography of the Contemporary World and coordinating a teaching seminar at Universidad ICESI.
At Fundación Paz y Reconciliación (PARES), I conducted regional research as part of the Pacific office’s work. With UNICATÓLICA, I worked on the “Post-FARC Zones in the Pacific” project, developed through an agreement between PARES and UNICATÓLICA.
At Creare Social, I contributed research and cartography to a socioeconomic analysis of eastern Cali. In a project with INCODER, I supported documentation of environmental, social, and territorial conflicts in rural Cauca communities and worked on cartography for the region.
My research and cartography work at Universidad ICESI included producing a cartographic database and research report on illegal extractive mining. I’ve also prepared analytical bibliographic records in Portuguese and Spanish, and published research on fisheries in Oaxaca and mining-related issues in Colombia.
