Eron Gabriel Carandang

I am a Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in residential construction, estimating, and project support, gained through both site-based and remote roles. I have 1.5 years of experience as a Project Engineer on residential projects in the Philippines, where I supported day-to-day construction activities, coordinated with subcontractors and suppliers, prepared material quantity take-offs and preliminary cost estimates, monitored progress, managed change orders, and maintained detailed project documentation and reports. This role strengthened my understanding of construction workflows, cost control, and multi-trade coordination.

In addition, I have worked as a Freelance Estimator for Australian residential projects, where I prepared detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Buildxact, and Microsoft Excel. I assisted with tender submissions, reviewed architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, and coordinated with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times. My estimating work covered multiple trades, including structural works (roof framing, slabs, foundations), architectural finishes, plumbing, and electrical scopes. This experience exposed me to Australian construction standards and remote collaboration with overseas teams.

My career interests are focused on construction estimating, cost planning, and pre-construction support, particularly in roles where accuracy, organization, and technical understanding are critical. I enjoy working with drawings, numbers, and data, and I am motivated to continue developing my skills in estimating systems, construction documentation, and cost analysis. I am seeking long-term opportunities where I can contribute reliably to a team while continuing to grow professionally in the construction and estimating field.
