At Onward, I lead development of a class B medical app and am responsible for our apps. I write requirements, develop the architectural roadmap, and help teams understand our code base.
I also work to make our apps behave as expected through automated tests with Cucumber and Espresso. Sharing components across projects lets us reuse existing work.
At Philips, I was introduced to medical device development, and at Onward I’ve continued that work for a start-up aiming to help people with spinal cord injuries walk again. Earlier, as an Android expert at Altran, I worked on medical class A apps and contributed to projects for TomTom and DHL.
I started out as an Industrial Designer and found my way into programming through Flash. I later earned a Computer Science degree, focusing mostly on Artificial Intelligence, and contributed to early versions of apps including Buienradar and Pathé mobiel.
