Emma Veltri
@emmaveltri
Outpatient procedural PACU RN specializing in propofol and moderate sedation recovery with high-volume patient flow.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Registered Nurse with experience in endoscopy PACU, procedural sedation recovery, pediatrics, and acute care. I focus on maintaining calm, safety, and efficiency while managing multiple patients through pre-procedure, sedation, and discharge.
In my current outpatient procedural/PACU role (Jan 2025–Present), I provide pre-procedure and post-sedation nursing care for high-volume endoscopy patients receiving propofol and moderate sedation. I monitor airway, oxygenation, blood pressure, and cardiac rhythm during Phase I & II recovery, perform Aldrete scoring for discharge readiness, and initiate/maintain IV access while administering IV medications and fluids.
I’ve also supported pediatric patients (May 2024–Jan 2025) with IV therapies and invasive procedures, using distraction and calming techniques and coordinating with social work and care teams. Earlier, as a Med-Surg Fellowship Registered Nurse (Aug 2023–May 2024), I cared for adult medical-surgical patients across oncology and emergency admissions, monitored telemetry and vital signs for early deterioration, and administered medications using the five rights—staying composed during emergency situations.
