Infection Preventionist and Consultant Medical Microbiologist focused on reducing hospital infections through leadership and training.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Infection Preventionist and Consultant medical microbiologist with ten years’ experience in General Hospital and Teaching Hospital settings. I coordinate infection prevention and control in a teaching hospital, combining direct patient care with deep expertise in infectious-disease community and diagnostic pathways.
I’ve led infection prevention teams through daily surveillance of possible sources of infection, monitoring and reporting nosocomial infections, and tracking post-surgical infections. I also coordinate infection control committee activities and contribute to formulation and implementation of infection control policies, including outbreak prevention and control for Lassa fever and Ebola fever.
I bring a strong teaching and leadership background, with over six years as a lecturer and trainer of medical students and experience mentoring resident doctors and house officers. Currently, as a support worker, I keep group homes well disinfected and use appropriate disinfectants and correct PPE donning and doffing to monitor clients for infection symptoms and risks.
