What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a pediatric-focused role where I can deliver family-centered, evidence-based nursing while strengthening the mental and emotional well-being of patients. I want growth that supports my long-term goal of PMHNP certification.

I am a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse currently practicing at Akron Children’s Hospital on 7 Surgical and Subspecialty. I provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to pediatric patients with neuromuscular and cognitive disorders, supporting both medical stability and emotional healing.

In my role, I manage complex cases such as tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, seizure management, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, developmental delays, and post–suicide attempt care. I monitor vital signs, administer medications, perform assessments, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and maintain safety and comfort while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans.

I also educate and support patients and their families throughout diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and coping strategies to promote understanding and engagement in care. I accurately document nursing interventions, assessments, and patient progress in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines, and I’m known for building trusting, empathetic relationships that strengthen the care experience.

Before becoming an RN, I served as a Nurse Technician in the Nursing Float Pool at Akron General CVICU and NSICU, providing direct patient care that included monitoring vital signs, foley/catheter care, and assisting with procedures, diagnostic tests, and daily care needs. I’ve continued developing across settings through clinicals at Walsh University Byers School of Nursing—covering nursing homes, Med-Surg, Mental health, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Critical Care—and I’m preparing for my long-term goal of obtaining a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
