I'm building Bayesian and Markov Chain Monte Carlo pipelines in Python to model MeerKAT pulsar observations, quantify detection significance, and automate long-term analysis previously completed manually.
My MSc research at the University of Cape Town focuses on determining a long-term timing solution for the white dwarf pulsar J1912−4410. I've presented this work at High Energy Astrophysics of Southern Africa, NRF-SARAO postgraduate and post-doctoral, and International Pulsar Timing Array conferences, and I am a first author in Proceedings of Science.
Across physics and data science projects, I've used PyTorch to find the Higgs Boson in ATLAS Open Data, investigated topological data analysis in particle physics, and simulated entangled-photon propagation with Monte Carlo methods.
I've also implemented SIREN networks to reconstruct MeerKAT radio data, built a generalised linear model for insurance pricing, contributed to a low-cost MRI project, and taught mathematics, physics, and astrophysics.
