Emilian Morar

I’ve been working at ROSPIN Academy on multi-year development of a high-altitude pseudo-satellite (HAPS) platform, contributing as part of the On-Board Computer (OBC) and software team. My focus has been robust flight software architectures and seamless system integration.

Alongside the team, I’ve been researching low-power computing and real-time task scheduling for high-altitude operations. I also help implement modular software for sensor data acquisition and telemetry processing, with a longer-term goal of maturing the project into a functional, dual-use platform.

Earlier, at HYPERMEDIA as a DevOps Intern, I automated infrastructure deployment and management in the cloud. I used AWS (EC2 and networking), built reproducible Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and deployed containerized applications with Docker.

I also connected the workflow with GitHub Actions CI/CD, automated virtual environments with Vagrant, and managed configurations using Ansible. Outside internships, I built a 5-DOF robotic arm modeling and control system in C++ with a Qt GUI, and Dockerized a home network security and monitoring stack.
