In my ongoing remote work as a Tigrinya and Amharic medical interpreter with Lemi Teshoma, AdvancEtech (via Upwork), I interpret live patient-clinician conversations by phone and video. I render each speaker’s words accurately across care settings including primary care, mental health, maternity, and urgent care.
As Wereda Nutrition Officer at Tigray Developmental Association (UNICEF project), I coordinated case management across 15 health facilities and followed up with at-risk patients and caregivers. I also compiled monthly performance reports and managed inventory forecasting and supply requisitions.
At Daughters of Charity, I managed 35 protection cases from intake through closure, connected clients with support services, and translated international protection manuals into Tigrigna. At UNICEF Ethiopia, I monitored partner-led projects and turned field findings into practical adjustments.
My work also includes English–Amharic and English–Tigrigna translation, Tigrigna audio transcription, and interpreting health information for students and families. I hold an MPH in Nutrition from Mekelle University and have experience in public health education and nutrition support.
