Harsh Malakar

I’m a Software Engineer with a strong foundation in scalable architectures, moving from a robust React/Next.js background into building high-performance backend systems in Go (Golang). I enjoy solving real-world problems and shipping impactful products from zero to launch.

Recently, I engineered a production-ready social network platform from scratch using Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and React. I also shipped secure authentication systems at an IIT-backed startup—building the authentication system from the ground up and improving user security and satisfaction by 85%, while enhancing frontend performance with a 45% load-time improvement.

On the backend, I focus on clean, testable design: I’ve implemented RESTful microservices using the Repository Pattern and Clean Architecture, added JWT authentication with bcrypt hashing, and built RBAC authorization for Admin, Moderator, and Standard Users. I also implemented high-throughput observability using Uber’s zap and real-time metrics via expvar, plus concurrency-safe rate limiting (Token Bucket) to reduce abuse.

I bring a product-and-experience mindset as well—contributing UI/UX work, including advanced animations and responsive localized pages via Framer Motion, Chakra UI, and Next.js routing. Beyond engineering, I worked on an end-to-end EEG/ASD research and AI/ML pipeline, transforming raw recordings into model-ready data assets with reproducible, publication-grade rigor.
