What I'm looking for

I am looking for a remote frontend role where I can do meaningful work on a product people actually use. Ideally, I want a team that cares about code quality, ships consistently, and trusts engineers to take ownership of their work without micromanagement.

I am a Frontend Engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria, with over three years of commercial experience building responsive, performant web applications in React and NextJS.

My recent work includes building the React component library at Foxy Labs in Abuja, integrating a payment gateway and real-time chatbot at Ascetic Capital (a US-based fintech, fully remote), and shipping GraphQL-powered features with Redux state management at Balancee Tech Solution. Before that I led frontend development for AngularJS fintech platforms at Mercator Technologies. These were live products with real users, not side projects.

I take ownership from design handoff to production. I write ES6+ JavaScript and TypeScript, work with Redux, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, Tailwind CSS, and animation libraries including Three.js and Framer Motion. I am comfortable in agile teams, async environments, and Git-based workflows.

Outside pure frontend work, I hold a second-class upper B.Sc. in Geomatics (4.35 GPA, University of Benin, best graduating student at my level). That background makes me a strong fit for teams building mapping, data visualisation, or geospatial web products, where most frontend engineers have to learn the domain from scratch.

I am actively looking for remote full-time roles and contract engagements. I can work across any reasonable time zone overlap and am available to start immediately.
