Diya Prashar
@diyaprashar
I'm advancing sustainable crop protection through plant disease research, biocontrol, and field-based disease management.
What I'm looking for
I'm pursuing Agricultural Sciences with a Crop Protection specialization at Punjab Agricultural University, where I've researched plant disease management across laboratory and field settings.
In PAU's Pathogen Epidemiology Lab, I studied rice sheath blight caused by Rhizoctonia solani, monitoring lesion development and the effects of temperature and humidity under controlled and field conditions. I've also quantified fungicide doses for maize stalk rot, including effective concentration, residue levels, and field efficacy.
I'm committed to reducing chemical pesticide use through integrated disease management, biological control, genetic diagnostics, and predictive approaches. My submitted research focuses on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and pea wilt, while my extension work helps farming communities adopt soil-health, precision-farming, and disease-control practices.
