What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a remote senior or staff Applied AI, AI engineering, RAG, or search-infrastructure role where I can build production-grade retrieval and vector-search systems.

I built AzureDevOpsForager, a live production RAG and vector-search system that keeps embeddings, code metadata, and full-text indexes in Azure SQL or SQL Server. I designed the architecture, wrote the code, deployed it on Azure, and secured it solo.

My work combines hybrid retrieval, Reciprocal Rank Fusion, cross-encoder reranking, embeddings, ONNX, Roslyn semantic chunking, and grounded LLM chat. Alongside 30+ years shipping software and a long tenure at BS&A Software, I build search infrastructure that fails softly, supports zero-downtime reindexing, and holds up in production.

Own the ETL and data-conversion platform, a plugin-based MEF system with tens of thousands of conversion definitions. When a migration is too hard for the senior engineers, it comes to me. This past year I shipped a production AI migration tool that generates new conversions from a vector database.
