What I'm looking for

I’m seeking to apply my banking domain knowledge and technical expertise in a modern data engineering environment.

At Hatton National Bank PLC, I currently operate and monitor batch and near-real-time pipelines that transfer data from the Finacle core banking system to enterprise data platforms using Informatica. I investigate ETL failures and data discrepancies, while supporting data integrity, access control, and timely business operations.

As BI Engineer – MI & Advanced Analytics, I developed dashboards and automated management reports with Power BI and Qlik Sense. My work included reusable data models and reporting datasets for financial, customer, product, operational, and executive analytics.

I also developed banking dashboards for financial KPIs, customer segments, deposits, lending, branch performance, and productivity. These solutions helped management monitor performance and identify trends, opportunities, and target gaps.

In a self-learning project, I designed an end-to-end banking data engineering platform using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Apache Airflow. I’m pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics at the University of Colombo and hold a BSc in Computer Science.
