At WakeMed, I’ve contributed across the Information Security Department, including its Firewall, IAM, Threat Intelligence, and SOC teams. I documented an internal and external DMZ NAT IP list to make traffic flows easier to visualize.
With IAM staff, I helped add applications to Duo authentication systems and connect them to the SIEM using APIs. I also audited admin permissions, role groups, and servers in Active Directory to reduce privilege creep.
I worked with Threat Intelligence teams on a visual representation of traffic flows through internal systems, including feeds from Trend Vision One, Rapid7 TIP, and Palo Alto. I also observed and responded to suspected phishing emails and participated in a company-wide phishing awareness campaign.
Outside work, I’m studying penetration testing through OffSec’s PEN-200 course, TryHackMe, and HackTheBox challenges as I prepare for the OSCP certification. Earlier, as a CAD Engineer Intern at DCS (Data Spectrum Corporation), I worked on PET/SPECT brain phantoms in Fusion360 and modified milling-path CAD files to reduce material waste.
