At Vega Innovations (Pvt) Ltd, I designed mechanical components and sheet metal parts for electric vehicle battery systems, including battery enclosures and lifting mechanisms. I also used finite element analysis and ANSYS transient impact simulations to evaluate component performance and safety.
For my capstone, I’m working on a cooling system for lithium-ion 21700 battery packs in EVs, focused on maintaining operating temperatures and preventing thermal runaway. The project uses CAD and CAE tools alongside manufacturing processes such as laser cutting and laser welding.
I also designed a drivetrain for a Formula Student EV, including a lightweight axial flux PMSM and a two-stage gearbox. The project uses SolidWorks, Ansys Mechanical, Ansys Maxwell, Ansys Motor CAD, and MATLAB Simulink.
During my internship at Machinery and Equipment Authority, I assisted with vehicle engine overhauls and fault diagnosis across vehicle systems. I also gained experience with repair estimates, job cards, and invoices.
