What I'm looking for

I seek hands-on SOC or cybersecurity roles where I can perform SIEM monitoring, triage alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and contribute to policy/GRC in a collaborative, mission-driven team.

I am an Information Security / Cybersecurity Analyst with hands-on experience in SIEM monitoring, alert triage, vulnerability assessment, policy compliance, and identity & access management. I support SOC operations in fast-paced environments and focus on protecting both public and private sector data.

In my SOC Level 1 Analyst role at the Virginia Department of Transportation, I perform continuous security monitoring with Splunk Enterprise Security, validate and escalate alerts, and leverage Tenable, ForeScout, SailPoint, and Symantec to add context and ensure accurate incident handling. I document findings clearly and follow SOC playbooks to provide consistent responses and handoffs.

As an Information Security Intern at Virginia DBHDS, I collaborated on vulnerability assessments, formatted data in Excel for ticketing, helped develop and sustain security policies and GRC documentation, and managed user accounts and groups using KnowBe4. I bring practical SOC experience, a B.S. in Cybersecurity, and a strong operational mindset to deliver measurable security improvements.
