Daphne Brown

I’m an English Teacher focused on creating engaging, inclusive classrooms where every student can grow. I develop lesson plans aligned to curriculum standards, strengthen reading comprehension with tailored literature assignments, and support students through clear routines and consistent expectations.

Across my roles in Texas school districts, I’ve conducted assessments to evaluate student comprehension, used data-driven instruction to identify areas of need, and adjusted teaching strategies based on individual progress and feedback. I also plan dynamic lessons to deepen understanding of books and literary concepts while supporting struggling students with targeted interventions and thorough follow-up.

I’m committed to student inclusion and collaboration. I managed a caseload for students who receive individualized education plans (IEPs), coordinated with the school’s special education team to adapt lessons for students with learning differences, and supported parents and guardians through regular communication and meetings.

I bring a strong teaching and content foundation from my education in Business and Economics and Education. I’ve stayed current through professional development, used technology and multimedia strategies for fresh instruction (including online teaching and distance learning adaptations), and helped improve classroom culture through empathy, clear communication, and mentoring new teachers.
