What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that allows me to support students' academic growth while fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

I am a resourceful and imaginative Teaching Professional with 28 years of experience as a Certificated Educator and 8 years in Social Work and Case Management. My journey has been dedicated to mentoring and supporting students, particularly those at-risk, to achieve academic success. I believe in the power of education and equity, often drawing from my own experiences as an Educator of Color to inspire young minds.

Throughout my career, I have maintained a well-managed classroom environment that fosters engagement and participation. My roles have included not only teaching but also serving as a Dean of Students and Student Counselor, where I have developed strong relationships with students and collaborated with fellow educators. I am committed to creating a positive learning atmosphere and have been recognized for my ability to motivate students effectively.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and certifications in Art Education and Physical Education, I bring a diverse skill set to my teaching practice. I am proficient in various computer applications and possess excellent communication and presentation skills, which I utilize to enhance the learning experience for my students.
