At Ethiopian Electric Power, I led the rehabilitation of a failed 230 kV, 125 MVA power transformer, restoring a critical transmission asset. I also supported substation extension and rehabilitation projects to improve system reliability.
My current work includes preventive maintenance, substation inspection, and testing and commissioning. I also coordinate maintenance across nine regional teams and provide technical training.
Earlier, as a self-employed Contractor, I worked as an industrial electrical technician, installing electrical machines, working with PLCs, and testing electrical machines.
I’m expanding my power systems engineering background into renewable energy integration. I’m pursuing an MSc in Electrical Power Engineering at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, and my research interests include smart grids, energy storage, and power system stability.
