I am a senior Audit, Risk, Governance & Compliance leader with extensive experience across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda. I oversee internal audit, ERM, governance, ITGC reviews, fraud prevention, and compliance—translating risk into practical control outcomes.
In my current role as Head of Internal Audit at Bata Shoe Company PLC, I implemented the Risk Management Framework across Kenya and Uganda operations, supervise audits across 150+ retail outlets, and deliver quarterly reporting to the Local Audit Committee and Global Audit leadership. I also lead fraud prevention initiatives supported by data analytics, and coordinate BCP/DRP implementation through ITGC reviews.
Previously, as Risk Consulting Manager at EY East Africa, I advised on ERM implementation, ESG and climate risks, and conducted AML/CFT compliance reviews and forensic audits. I have built capability through board and senior management training, delivered external quality assessments (EQA), and strengthened compliance through ODPC work and ISO documentation.
