Danagul Toilybai

I’m an English language teaching student focused on using research-informed, student-centered approaches to improve language learning outcomes. Through my B.Ed. program and an academic mobility experience, I’ve built a strong foundation in education and academic work.

In my teaching and mentoring experiences, I independently taught English to students aged 13–17, managed classroom discipline and engagement, and applied formative assessment strategies. Most notably, I taught English on a high-volume schedule delivering 38–40 lessons per week across 13 parallel groups, using Montessori-inspired methods and interactive activities to keep learners actively involved.

I also pursue my interests in educational research and language learning technology. My diploma work and research involve the implementation of artificial intelligence in foreign language study, including designing and implementing an AI-based chatbot (TalkBuddy) to analyze feedback and measure improvement in students’ speaking skills.

Across my roles, I combine lesson planning, curriculum design, and classroom management with data collection and analysis, academic writing, and strong communication skills. I work well in teamwork settings and adapt quickly to learners’ needs, aiming to create practical learning experiences that are both engaging and measurable.
