Damien De La Garza

I’m a Security Professional with a Psychology background, studying at Texas Tech University while building on-field experience through security work. My coursework includes Statistical Methods, Interpersonal Communication, Close Relationships, and Social Inequality & Health, which shapes how I communicate, assess situations, and support safe outcomes.

In my security role, I conduct routine and strategic patrols to ensure the safety of on-site personnel and promptly report security breaches or facility maintenance concerns. I safeguard high-security zones containing sensitive consumer data by enforcing strict protocols to prevent unauthorized access or data loss.

I maintain vigilant oversight of restricted areas to ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and operational integrity. As a Security Shift Supervisor as needed, I lead crisis response efforts, manage incidents involving terminated personnel, and coordinate emergency protocols during critical infrastructure failures. I also administer temporary access credentials for limited-entry personnel and verify/log incoming individuals, vehicles, and deliveries as Gate Security.

Alongside this, I volunteer with virtual group counseling sessions and help keep sessions on topic within time restraints—reinforcing my task-oriented, impartial approach to people and procedures.
