Craig Griffiths

I am a GIS Technician with hands-on experience using QGIS, ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap, Pix4D and RStudio to deliver ecological mapping, remote sensing workflows and UAV orthomosaics. I completed an MSc in Wildlife & Conservation Management where I produced habitat maps, multi-ring buffer analyses and land-cover classifications that supported local decision-making.

My applied projects include mining bee distribution mapping, road-related deforestation modelling, Japanese knotweed mapping from UAV imagery and land-cover change analyses using Landsat. I integrate GPS field data (NVC, Phase 1, soil and pollen datasets) into spatial analyses and cartographic outputs, and I am comfortable working independently and remotely.

I currently work as a Registry Officer analyzing large academic datasets and collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes. I volunteer regularly on community conservation projects, have presented dissertation findings to local councillors, and am preparing for full CIEEM membership.
