I've handled direct appeals, applications for leave to appeal, and postconviction litigation for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Criminal Appeals Division. I briefed and argued constitutional criminal procedure, statutory interpretation, and trial-evidence cases, including successful arguments before the Supreme Court of Maryland.
Previously, I drafted legislation and advised legislative committees at the Department of Legislative Services, working with legislators on labor, business, criminal, and transportation law.
My appellate and trial-court clerkships built my foundation in researching and writing opinions, analyzing civil and criminal legal issues, and producing substantive bench memoranda.
