Registered Nurse with 19 years’ hospice and hospital care experience.
What I'm looking for
I’m an experienced healthcare professional with 19 years of experience, and I’m looking to advance my career in healthcare by leveraging my background and education. I bring a dynamic, innovative, patient-centered mindset and a commitment to better processes and treatments.
Since March 2020, I’ve worked as a Registered Nurse with Hospice of the Valley, where I provide patients, families, and caregivers information on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process and management, and lifestyle choices. I prioritize nursing tasks and assignments, accurately report on each patient’s condition, and support improved outcomes.
At Mayo Clinic Hospital (October 2016 to November 2020), I oversaw patient care from admission to discharge or transfer through assessments, administering medications, initiating nursing and emergency interventions, contributing to care plans, and educating patients. I also precepted student nurses and oriented new hires, providing guidance and mentorship on hospital policies, emergency procedures, and nursing best practices.
Earlier, as a Registered Nurse Team Leader (August 2015 to September 2016) at Mercy Health - Springfield Regional Medical Center, I planned and managed patient care in accordance with hospital standards of care. In addition to oncology care, I managed inpatient hospice patients and supported their families, and I’m a member of OCN and HPNA.
