CJ Obermaier
@cjobermaier
Senior education engineer creating AI-enhanced DevOps content practitioners trust.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Senior technical content engineer with a decade of DevOps engineer experience, and I own the HashiCorp Well-Architected Framework. I write and manage 90+ documents built specifically for Fortune 500 business requests, partnering with sales and technical engineers to make complex guidance easy to follow and action immediately.
I also write tutorials for IBM AI tool IBM Bob, including the Quickstart and a series that walks users through multiple coding scenarios. From my DevOps background (AWS, Terraform, Packer, Docker, and EKS), I build content “in the shoes of the practitioner,” including measurable SEO improvements tracked with PostHog, Google Search Console, and Fathom Analytics.
I’ve created an AI-enhanced documentation workflow with an AGENTS.md framework and Skills library using Claude and Microsoft Copilot, and I trained the Education team on responsibly using AI. Outside of writing, I co-founded DevOpsDays Kansas City and have spoken at DevOpsDays Rockies, staying active in the local developer community since 2014.
