Cindy Akello

I’m a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning professional with over five years of experience supporting non-government and development programs to strengthen performance monitoring and reporting systems. I translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that improve evidence-based decision-making.

I design M&E frameworks and indicators, coordinate baseline and endline surveys, and run data quality assessments (DQAs) to protect reliability. I also build practical, learning-oriented processes through routine field visits, validation exercises, and data review meetings.

I’m proficient in advanced MS Excel, SPSS, STATA, and Power BI, and I use digital data collection systems such as Kobo Toolbox, SurveyCTO, ODK, and MWater. In my recent roles, I’ve designed, tested, and refined data collection tools and produced analytical reports and dashboards for management and external stakeholders.

From Water Mission Uganda to the Joint Clinical Research Centre and Mildmay Uganda, I’ve led routine MEL processes, supported district-level coordination, and delivered capacity-building for enumerators and program teams. I’m currently pursuing a master’s in management studies to deepen my approach to performance management and organizational learning.
