Chiranjeevkumar Jaiswal

I am an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. I deliver lectures and tutorials on banking and insurance topics, including the fundamentals of the Indian insurance market across both life and non-life segments.

In my teaching and research, I focus on how regulatory frameworks like the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) shape insurance practices. I also emphasize risk management, insurance principles, financial markets, and analyzing developments such as the rise of digital insurance, insurtech, and microinsurance products for India’s rural and underserved populations.

I conduct research in banking, insurance, and financial services, and I publish papers in reputed journals while presenting at national and international conferences. I also guide students in their academic and career pursuits, including support on internships, project work, and career opportunities in the financial services industry.

Before academia, I worked as a Data Processing Specialist at NielsenIQ, where I handled product categorization based on retailer information and managed reference data according to standards and governance. I gained strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the habit of delivering client outputs correctly and on time.
