I’m a database-focused IT professional with about 6 years of experience in supervising and maintaining software and mission-critical PostgreSQL systems. I bring strong end-to-end capability—from database development work and ongoing maintenance to security risk handling and operational ownership across multiple deployments.
In my current role as Lead Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) at TECH PRIMO SOLUTIONS, I support mission-critical PostgreSQL databases for Airtel Africa Telecom Operations & Billing Platform. I optimize performance through query tuning and indexing strategies, manage large-scale telecom and mobile money data, and ensure security, integrity, and compliance across multi-country environments.
I also automate routine DBA activities using shell scripting and PostgreSQL utilities, and I drive reliability with database health checks, capacity planning, proactive monitoring, and troubleshooting. My day-to-day work includes managing user roles/privileges, backups and recovery, and high-availability configurations such as log shipping while administering and evaluating live server logs and queries.
Previously, as Database Administrator at ANR SOFTWARE for a business-critical TACO BELL application, I handled administration, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and security management to keep systems available and trustworthy.
