What I'm looking for

I’m interested in applying geospatial and data-driven methods to water-resource problems in Ethiopia, particularly through groundwater exploration, assessment, and potential-zone mapping.

At Dembi Dollo University (DaDU), I supported university-level teaching and student learning in geology-related subjects. I prepared and delivered instructional materials and helped students with academic and technical questions.

My current MSc research investigates groundwater potential zones in Jimma Geneti Woreda, Ethiopia. I’m studying groundwater distribution and its controlling factors using GIS and remote-sensing datasets.

I’m also exploring machine-learning approaches and working with field and secondary data, including groundwater occurrence information. My research interests include hydrogeology, groundwater resources, and geospatial methods for water-resource problems in Ethiopia.

My technical work includes spatial analysis, satellite-data interpretation, and DEM processing. I use ArcGIS 10.x and am developing proficiency in Google Earth Engine and Python for geospatial analysis and machine-learning workflows.
