Chester Ong

I am a registered Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical equipment, gained through roles in manufacturing and quality control. I combine strong analytical troubleshooting skills with practical knowledge of electrical systems and standards.

My recent role as a Quality Control Engineer has me performing no-load, insulation resistance, contact resistance and HiPot tests, conducting pre-delivery inspections, and collaborating with project and after-sales teams on commissioning and servicing. I am familiar with components and equipment such as circuit breakers, transfer switches, motor control panels, VFDs, UPS, capacitor banks, switchgear components, and busbar sizing.

I hold certifications and training in supervisory development, motor control, MVSG operation, photovoltaic system installation and commissioning, and safety officer coursework. I communicate effectively, document and supervise technical activities, and am committed to delivering reliable, standards-compliant electrical solutions.
