Chala Oljira

I am a cybersecurity professional with experience in SOC operations, specializing in threat monitoring and incident response. I leverage and manage advanced security tools to protect organizations’ digital assets while keeping cybersecurity controls aligned with organizational policies and industry standards.

In my CSOC role, I continuously monitor network traffic, logs, and security events to investigate anomalies and potential threats. I use Qradar and SOAR for log aggregation and threat detection, create custom rules and alerts, investigate SIEM alerts, and proactively open investigations and take action on attack sources on the firewall. I also participate in log analysis and reporting for compliance audits and work with network administrators to document procedures and prepare incident response plans.

Previously, as an IT & Cybersecurity Specialist, I supported 24/7 client needs as a primary technical support point, helped configure security-related tools, and delivered security training and awareness. I also bring cloud experience from Nedamco Africa as a Cloud Engineer, where I supported moving to and operating in the cloud and recommending cloud solutions based on organizational needs.
