What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that allows me to utilize genomic tools to improve analysis skills and contribute to impactful research in a collaborative environment.

I am a dedicated Bioinformatician currently working at Cambridge University Hospitals, where I contribute to the development and maintenance of bioinformatics pipelines in the cancer team. My background in biological sciences, combined with my expertise in bioinformatics, allows me to effectively troubleshoot complex issues and improve genomic diagnostic services. I have a strong passion for metagenomics and infectious diseases, which drives my commitment to enhancing microbial analysis at the genomic level.

During my PhD, I developed a pipeline for detecting vectors and parasites from mixed mosquito pools, focusing on creating accessible methods for low-resource settings. My experience spans various roles, including teaching assistant and laboratory demonstrator, where I supervised students and facilitated their learning in laboratory techniques. I thrive in multidisciplinary teams, leveraging my critical thinking and project management skills to deliver impactful results.
